This is a new blog set up for A Level English Language students at St Francis Xavier Sixth Form College (and anyone else interested in English Language issues).

so far, so good! the blogs definetly a good idea and a bonus for A2 revision...so roll on! the resources are looking good, but can i suggest some links/articles 2 language change/varieties as Unit 5 is definetly my weakest of the two.

I'll do what i can for the ENA5 links in the next few days. In the meantime, there's one on the homepage which links to history of prose style and that gives you brief extracts from loads of old texts through time. It's quite handy.

That link above (comment by model student) has a few interesting things to say about PC, but then looks to me like it degenerates into some far right dribblings about everything being the fault of ethnic minorities.

I'd advise taking some of it with a large pinch of salt...
